On Aug. 23, 2022, pastor Gary Mason spoke to Leo Smith, co-leader of the Georgia Democracy Resilience Network, about building peace in his home country of Northern Ireland and how religious people in the U.S. can help heal divisions in an increasingly polarized America.

The Georgia Democracy Resilience Network is a cross-partisan grassroots effort initiated by The Carter Center that is bringing together civic, business, and religious leaders and citizens from across the political spectrum to serve as community advocates for peaceful political engagement around elections.
