Turning Trash into Cash | The Carter Center in the Democratic Republic of Congo

In the Democratic Republic of Congo, The Carter Center is helping empower women by awarding small grants for innovative projects. One organization in Kinshasa is using its grant to turn household waste into organic fertilizer that women can use in their own gardens or sell to others to help support their families.
