Chickens for Pasajcab | The Carter Center's Global Access to Information Program

Chickens can be an important asset for people living in Pasacjab, Guatemala. The Carter Center's Global Access to Information Program helps women make information requests to officials to find out how they can benefit from various government programs – including one that provides chickens to families so they can eat better and generate more income.

The Center's Global Access to Information Program works with women, communities, governments, and civil society groups to facilitate access to information and resources to transform lives.

Learn more about the program here: https://www.cartercenter.org/peace/ati/index.html

Founded in 1982 by former U.S. President Jimmy Carter and former First Lady Rosalynn Carter in partnership with Emory University, The Carter Center is committed to advancing human rights and alleviating unnecessary human suffering. The Center wages peace, fights disease, and builds hope worldwide.
